During weeks 7 and 8, I ended up doing A LOT of texturing in the final push to get the scene ready for the shoot days. The main things I textured were the walls, rails, and central platform.
Wall Textures
The biggest element missing from our previous preload test were textures for the far wall of the tunnel, making it a top priority at the start of week 7. After Birdie remodeled the wall segments to cut down on the poly count, I textured them using the substance painter smart material versions of Production Design’s textures I created prior, and trying to adhere to Prod’s material callouts as best as I could with the updated models
Small Arches
Big Arch
While Birdie was creating these new models, I also added textures to the wall segment models that Connor made for the wall closer to camera, using the same smart materials. i also used a combination of Substance Designer and Substance Painter to create a smart material for the wall tile material. I also sent the smart materials over to Eri to texture the column models.

Rails & Central Platform
I quickly modelled a replica of Prod’s rails based on their diagrams, and textured it according to their material references.

I also created some seamless textures for the middle platform between the tracks, as well as the concrete elevations for the sides of the platforms

Misc Additions & Modifications
Added a decal pack for cracks, dirt, moisture, etc.
Added a basic blueprint for having a rat run back and forth from point A to point B
Some minor material tweaks using Danci’s master material controls (namely desaturating the train and walls, and darkening the escalators)
Shoot Days
During the 2 shoot days, I was at the brain bar with primarily Danci, Luis, Robin, and Connor making tweaks as needed, getting the virtual set as close to the physical set as possible.
I also may or may not have been responsible for a few behind the scenes giant rat cameos…
(all hail Gogo the rat)
